Who Is Responsible For Your Success?

If you haven’t reached the success you originally set out for, then who is to blame? Or what circumstance is to blame?

As humans we are quite good at coming up with excuses for why we didn’t do certain things or why something happened. Taking responsibility seems to be too painful so we rather try and cover up what really happened.

This is often reflected in business as well. The projects we plan, our work, what we do. Sometimes things just don’t work out for one reason or another. What do you do in a situation like that?

Taking Responsibility For Your Actions
This is the first and probably most important step. You need to face the truth and take responsibility for what happened. Because you are most likely to blame.

Who needs to plan the projects in your business?
Who decides weather or not something gets done?
Who is responsible?

You.

If you didn’t lay out a plan for a project and it didn’t work out – you are to blame.

If you didn’t take advantage of the help you needed to get the project done – you are to blame.

If you didn’t seek out experienced help and advice when you needed it – you are to blame.

I know that there will be times that you simply can’t do anything about what happened. But what you can do is have an extra plan, be prepared, research, ask for help and much more. And sometimes, you aren’t to blame. But if you have that nagging feeling that something isn’t right and it isn’t working as it should… then you could well be the one to blame.

If you haven’t reached the success you wanted because you didn’t take the necessary steps needed – you are to blame!

  1. I am responsible for my own success! I take full responsibility for all the time I wasted getting going but I’m not looking back. That is the worst thing you can do is to dwell on the past. But you can take what you have learned from the past and move forward. We can all be successful if we want it bad enough.

  2. No one is responsible for my success but me. I can easily blame my husband, children, parents, city, childhood, circumstances…etc. But when it all comes down to it it’s a matter of how I felt and RESPONDED TO all of those things that I’m blaming.

    1. So true Lady T.We need to watch how we respond to situations. Thank you for your comment.

  3. It’s hard to take responsibility when we are not aware of our responsibility. Most of us rather blame than to take initiative of learning from the curves we encounter in life. If we don’t learn to take responsibility for the negative circumstances that thrown upon us, we can never learn how to succeed. 🙂
