Getting Out of The Trap of Perfection

Do you feel as if everything you do need to be perfect before you can show it to the rest of the world?

It’s a common problem and it is a trap that is keeping you from moving forward with your business. Trying to be perfect is only going to make you lose money.

If you know this is something you are trapped in you need to see the video below.

Do you recognize this behavior? Do you do it or have you done it? If you know you are letting this stand in your way of being who you are and getting your message out to the world, what are you going to do to get out of it? Please do share in the comments!

And you know what – turn up the volume because the video did not turn out perfect and the audio is a bit low. But I felt it was important to get this out to you instead of re-doing it until it was perfect. 🙂

  1. Linda, this video was EXCELLENT. I struggle with perfectionism, too. I laughed when you talked about all the things you needed to do – the banner, the sales page, the affiliates, etc – before doing the basic things. Perfectionism IS a trap! I love what The Barefoot Executive (Carrie Wilkerson) says, “NOT perfect- just DONE!” That set me free in 2010. Loved how you wrapped this up with “if you’re caught in it, you need to get OUT!” and “you have a message to get to the world, that the world needs…just get on with it…and now go do that thing!” GREAT video, very encouraging and inspiring -you made me want to make one now, lol!

    1. Thank you Beth. It really is a trap whether we realize it or not and it can be hard to get out of it. I’m glad you aren’t trapped any longer. 🙂 It is so easy to create lots of to-do’s instead of just acting on what needs to be acted on and what we can act on.

Now i just hope more get out… 🙂

  2. Perfectionism can hold us back. People need to here our message. If we are waiting to make it perfect, we may miss our chance to help them.

    1. True Lois! While you are trying to make it perfect someone is missing out on what you have to say and you are missing out on reaching people that needs you. Acting within our power is the key.

Good for you Cathey! Don’t go into that trap! Just keep Doing! 🙂
